SET MONTBLANC WRITERS EDITION "WILLIAM FAULKNER" (3 PIECES): We present at auction an extraordinary investment opportunity for the most discerning collectors of the German maison. This is a complete set of three pieces dedicated to the titan of modern literature and American Nobel Prize winner, William Faulkner, released in 2007. Montblanc limited the production of these cases to only 4,000 sets worldwide, this being specimen number 1012/4000.

The Faulkner edition design breathes pure Art Deco style, transporting us to the aesthetics of the 1920s and 30s. The instrument bodies are crafted in a fascinating brown-black precious resin with a subtle pearlescent sheen reminiscent of Macassar ebony wood or tiger's eye. The multiple platinum-bright rings break the silhouette, evoking the structure of the modernist buildings of the era.

The Nib:
The fountain pen sports a superb handmade 18-karat solid gold bi-color nib. Notable is the meticulous engraving of a biplane flying over the clouds, a poetic homage to Faulkner’s great passion for aviation (and to his novel Pylon). The nib retains its original sticker "M", indicating a Medium line width.

Condition (Expert Review)
This lot represents every collector’s dream, as it is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition:

Instruments: Absolutely new, pristine and never inked or used. The three pieces have remained safeguarded in their original sealed plastic sleeves since they left the factory in 2007.

Case: The lot is delivered with its monumental original presentation box in the form of a black-spined book, as well as with its outer cardboard sleeve bearing the factory barcodes and labels (the cardboard sleeve shows very light storage marks on the corners, purely cosmetic, which have perfectly protected the interior).
