The fountain pen is presented in an excellent general state of conservation, especially notable considering its age and nature as a piece from the 1920s–1930s.

The body and cap in black ebonite retain a deep, uniform shine, with an elegant patina from the passage of time. No cracks or deformations are observed, maintaining a solid and well-preserved structure. The engravings, including the characteristic “Montblanc Simplo,” remain visible and legible, adding collectible value.

The gold clip shows light, uniform wear, with partial loss of plating in line with its age, contributing authenticity without compromising its aesthetics or functionality.

The 14-carat gold nib is in very good condition, well aligned and without visible deformations. It preserves its original geometry and promises a smooth writing experience, with the flexible character typical of these historic pieces.

The safety-filler mechanism is complete, with the mechanism present and no signs of aggressive tampering. As is usual with this type of pen, it shows signs of use consistent with its age, not affecting its integrity.

Overall, it is a very well-preserved piece, with an excellent balance between originality, functionality, and aesthetic presence, ideal for both collection and occasional use.
