Lita Cabellut painted the (internationally) highly successful series ‘Coco-Testimony in Black & White’, in 2011/2012, consisting of 35 paintings. The original paintings sold out in Paris within two hours. This success was picked up by a large article in the Algemeen Dagblad (11/2012). Through this article Lita Cabellut was invited to the -then very popular- talk show Pauw & Witteman (11/2012). In this broadcast the interview with Lita Cabellut concerns the successes of the Coco-painting series.

In 2012 Lita created the ‘Coco-1’ and in 2013 the ‘Coco-2’, both special silkscreens, not only in size but also given the particularly low edition: Coco-1 counts only 25 copies plus the 5 E/As that Lita has painted with oil paint of which this one is (the offered one is the 2nd of the 5). In fact the E/A’s are unique because each of the 5 is different. The image is depicted in the art books surrounding the Coco series.

Lita Cabellut (1961) has long belonged to the international top! Born in Spain and at 19 left Spain to develop herself further as an artist in the Netherlands. After completing the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Lita Cabellut settled permanently in the Netherlands.

In 2020 she was chosen as 'Artist of the Year 2021'. Internationally Cabellut is seen as one of the three most influential living Spanish-speaking artists. Cabellut has received several international prizes.
