MARTE’s work is characterized by a balanced palette and soft brushstrokes complemented by subtle glazes. They are compositions with a meditative spirit, and their scenes aim to convey an idea linked to a powerful experience. For that reason, the construction of the pictorial setting is essential to evoke that dreamlike vision. Their works can include many themes but follow a single conceptual thread that is clearly observable in all their paintings.

The references in terms of trends and artistic currents are varied, spanning classical and modern art to contemporary art, drawing influence first from abstract art, conceptual art, as well as Impressionism, Expressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, and landscape or classical landscape, with touches of romanticism and realism. On the other hand, numerous artists have influenced the formation of MARTE’s work, such as Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, M. Spiewak, Salvador Dalí, Dam Domido, Joan Miró, Ivanka Matiss, Henri Matisse, and more current than others but always learning from the mastery and sensitivity of other artists, among whom there may also be: V. Kandinsky, Renoir, N. Correa, Wilfredo Lam, La Nord, Max Ernest, Ester Reut, P. Gauguin, Giogia, Sven Pels, A. Warhol, Juan Gris, Volha, Vladau, Morisch, Barnett Newman, Rhul, Rodríguez, Willem de Kooning, etc. “No canvas is painted in solitude; we are the echo of other brushes” S. Dalí.
