The silver-tone body has a rough, hand-worked “Brut” texture that really caught my eye, and the rounded rectangular shape feels very Cartier. With matching serial details, box, guarantee card, booklet, and accessories, this is the kind of complete vintage set that tends to get noticed at auction.
[Appearance]
This is a Les Must de Cartier lighter with a silver-tone textured finish and a softly rounded rectangular body.
The surface has a distinctive brushed and cross-hatched “Brut” texture, giving it a much more tactile look than a smooth polished lighter. Personally, this kind of finish is great because it catches the light differently from every angle without looking overly flashy.
The base is engraved “Cartier PARIS,” “SWISS MADE,” and serial number “76290K.” The outer box label also shows “No. 76290K,” “Réf. CA020106 BRUT,” and “Des. ARGENTE,” while the guarantee card carries matching number “76290.” These matching details are a nice point for collectors.
There are visible scratches, rubbing, small dents or marks around the edges, and age-related wear across the textured body and base. The outer box also shows noticeable staining and storage wear. On the positive side, the textured finish remains very clear, the engravings are easy to read, and the overall shape still presents nicely.
