On the large ring on the barrel, the relief portrait of Marco Polo, a map and the birth (1254) and death (1324) dates of the explorer are engraved. These details celebrate his life and his incredible adventures. On the large cap band, the map of his travels and the inscription “Marco Polo Venetian” are engraved in relief, to emphasize his origins and his link to Venice. Both rings are made of 925 silver with a weathered and satinized finish, giving a fascinating “lived-in” effect that tells the story. On the silver clip a relief map of his travels is fixed, another nod to his epochal explorations.
