Description from the seller
Miss Italy in Senegal, on Gorée Island
José Nicolas is a French photographer and war correspondent, born in Casablanca in 1956.

• He began photography in the field, notably in Lebanon, then worked with Médecins du Monde alongside Bernard Kouchner
• He then joined Sipa Press and covered for about a dozen years numerous conflicts: Lebanon, Afghanistan, Chad, Liberia, Romania, Bosnia, Somalia, etc.
• In 1994, he was seriously wounded in Rwanda during Operation Turquoise.
