The work Turbulence of the Summer is referenced under Donkersloot's catalog raisonné number 235 with color variations. The lithographic base was issued in only a few copies in the years 1968 and 1969.

In Corneille's work, the starry sky is often a reference to his fellow countryman Vincent Van Gogh. The years 1967 and 1968 mark for the Cobra painter a moment of transition between abstraction and figuration, now oriented toward the codes of Pop Art and Street Art by adopting a clear, graphic line.
