Remo Brindisi, Astronauti, tempera on canvas, 1980, 70 × 50 cm, original edition, signed by hand, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Remo Brindisi 1918-1996 - Astronauts tempera painting on canvas hand-signed.
Splendid original painting by the master Remo Brindisi
(Rome 1928-Milan 1996) executed in tempera on canvas of dimensions 70 x 50 cm.
L: the work belongs to the celeberrimo and very rare historical cycle dedicated to space and the figure of the "Astronauti", inaugurated by the Artist around the mid-eighties in the midst of the fascination with orbital missions of those years.
The favored theme compared to the artist’s later or repetitive subjects, this cycle represents one of the most sought-after moments and of high historical value in his production.
The painting presents as rich, tactile, and with the depth of colors typical of the period of the "new Figurazione" and the informal expressionism of the Artist.
The work presents itself very well and with strong visual impact, kept with care having been with me for over forty years; it will be sold with its period frame and ivory-colored passepartout with a golden-profile to enhance the painting.
Cataloging code no.1801 present on the work and from the attached certificate of authenticity.
Total measurements of the work with frame and passepartout 84 x 63 cm
The work will be delivered without glass and with tracked shipping.
