A very attractive early UK mono copy of Beatles For Sale, still carrying the classic black-and-yellow Parlophone labels and the original "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD." perimeter text. This example features the XEX 503-4N / XEX 504-4N matrix combination, a documented early 1960s variation of the original UK mono issue. The labels retain the characteristic period details: "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD." around the perimeter, "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964", and the original "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS" statement. These details are important, as later mono reissues use completely different EMI perimeter text and label construction, making this copy firmly rooted within the original black-and-yellow Parlophone production period. The Side 2 pressing is particularly appealing, being produced from the second mother (2 / HR). The record is housed in the original laminated gatefold sleeve associated with the first UK issues of Beatles For Sale—sleeves notoriously prone to spine damage, laminate wear and general handling marks, making the condition of this example especially attractive.

Sleeve (EX):
A particularly nice original laminated gatefold sleeve. The spine is still fully readable, something increasingly difficult to find on original copies of Beatles For Sale due to the construction of the sleeve. There is only light corner wear and modest age-related handling, but overall the sleeve remains unusually tidy and displays beautifully. The laminated surfaces retain very good sheen and the interior remains clean and presentable → EX

Vinyl (VG+):
The record retains a very strong gloss and presents well overall. There are some light signs of previous play and several fine hairlines, slightly more noticeable on Side 1, though nothing is feelable. Playback remains strong and enjoyable throughout. The labels are clean and retain excellent silver print → VG+
