Signed on the plate.
Authorized offset litho.
Condition: the work is in excellent condition.
Format: 80 x 60 cm.
The painting “Merry Structure” (vrolijke structuur) is an abstract work from 1926 by the renowned artist Wassily Kandinsky.
The work falls under geometric abstraction and is known for its vibrant colors and sharp forms.
The original work is in the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and is sometimes on view in museums such as the H'ART Museum in Amsterdam.
The work typifies Kandinsky's shift toward abstraction, where he experimented with the interplay between geometric shapes—such as prominent circles and sharp angles—and calculated color relationships.
The painting is also an example of abstract art and expressionism, created during Kandinsky's period at the Bauhaus.
The original work is very well known from auctions at renowned auction houses.
Never been framed and is kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper.
