Vintage Japanese Kamakura-bori Lacquered Vanity Cabinet – Hand-Carved Peony Mirror Stand with Drawers

【Description】
An exceptionally expressive vintage Japanese standing vanity mirror cabinet (Zakyo / Kyodai), masterfully decorated in the tradition of Kamakura-bori hand-carved lacquerware.

Artisanal Craftsmanship & Decorative Details:
Hand-Carved Peony Relief (Botan): The frontal drawer face features a deeply carved, low-relief motif of blooming peony blossoms, traditional symbols of prosperity and noble beauty.

Textured Negoro Lacquer Finish:
Coated with a multi-layered black-over-red lacquer finish over a distinctive chiseled honeycomb/turtle-shell texture (Kikko-bori), offering a rich tactile depth.

Tall Slim Mirror Proportion:
Fitted with a tall, rectangular mirror that stands on a sturdy base cabinet equipped with smooth utility drawers for personal accessories.

Contemporary Interior Display:
With its slim profile and dramatic red-and-black contrast, this traditional dressing cabinet serves as a sophisticated floor-standing accent or entryway vanity mirror for modern Japandi interiors, bedrooms, or dressing spaces.
