We present at auction a refined cult object of high craftsmanship signed Cartier: the classic and ever-fashionable oval-design Briquet lighter. This iconic model represents a symbol of luxury and absolute elegance, characterized by a splendid gold finish enriched by a refined vertical ribbing pattern (gadrooning) that not only lengthens its silhouette but also provides a secure grip and a pleasant tactile sensation.

Mechanically and functionally, the item is in an excellent state. The lighter has recently undergone meticulous, complete professional maintenance to guarantee full efficiency. It has been refilled with the appropriate gas, equipped with a new flint, and rigorously tested: as clearly visible in the photographs, the roller mechanism runs perfectly smoothly and the lighter is fully functional, producing a stable, bright, and regular flame.

The conservation state of this specimen is to be considered generally good, being an appealing vintage object with history. The structure is solid and mechanically flawless; however, in full compliance with our strict transparency policy, there are the physiological signs of time, micro-scratches, and a natural patina of wear on the gilding—typical elements of daily use that give the object an authentic touch of the era. On the gilded back cover are clearly engraved the original factory inscriptions and the famous Cartier script logo, guaranteeing the piece’s absolute authenticity.
