Description from the seller
Old system pipe – Wood, porcelain decorated with a stag and metal – Collectible pipe.
Old system pipe, of original shape, mainly made of wood, with metal elements and a removable porcelain reservoir in white.
The porcelain reservoir is decorated with a stag in a natural landscape. The painted decoration is well preserved.
The reservoir is fully detachable and has a threaded connector allowing it to be screwed onto the body of the pipe. The pipe is composed of several detachable elements.
The long stem presents a natural surface with small irregularities characteristic of the material. It seems to be made of natural wood, possibly bamboo or reed, with no certainty about the exact type.
The pipe also features several metal fittings as well as a curved mouthpiece.
Dimensions: about 19 × 6 × 2 cm.
Weight: about 130 g.
Old condition with patina and signs of use in keeping with the age. The metal elements show oxidation and wear. The wood bears marks and natural irregularities as well as some signs of use. The porcelain reservoir also shows slight traces related to age and use.
No clearly visible manufacturer’s mark.
Item sold in its current condition, unrestored. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
