Montblanc StarWalker Midnight Black rollerball pen, crafted in resin with a ruthenium/platinum‑black finish, made in Germany and dating to the Fine XX century, in good condition with minor age marks and a cap resin crack near the closure, fully functional, length 12 cm and diameter 1.2 cm.
Description from the seller
We present at auction a piece of great charm and modernity signed Montblanc: the exclusive rollerball pen from the StarWalker collection, in the sought-after Midnight Black model. This line embodies the most contemporary and futuristic soul of the maison, combining clean, slender lines with a dark, deep shade of striking visual impact.
The body and cap are masterfully crafted in precious black resin with glossy details, enriched by splendid metallic finishes with a dark ruthenium coating (black platinum). The grip section and the tip feature a refined grained grid-like machining that ensures an optimal ergonomic hold, while the curved, tech-inspired profile of the clip gives the object a unique character. Dominating the silhouette, as an unmistakable signature of the collection, is the iconic transparent dome atop the cap, inside which the pristine white Montblanc star elegantly floats.
From a technical standpoint, the instrument is configured as a rollerball pen with a screw/push cap. The photographs showing the pen disassembled confirm the perfect integrity of the internal components and the presence of the refill housed in the barrel.
The conditi**on** of this exemplar is to be considered in good overall condition. The ruthenium metal parts retain their characteristic tone, and the operating mechanism is fully functional. However, in strict observance of our policy of complete transparency, there is an evident cosmetic structural defect: a crack and localized superficial damage to the resin of the cap near the closure. Normal micro-scratches from use are also detectable on the glossy surfaces. This detail, while testifying to the object's life and visible in photography, does not compromise the overall aesthetics or the pen's functionality.
