Nib: EF (extrafine), gold
Period: late 1930s – early 1940s (approx. 1937-1941)
Materials: body and cap in burgundy marbled celluloid with black and red veining, section in ebony/black plastic with knurled-thread, clip and three cap-band rings gold plated, gold nib
Condition: good overall condition for its age; celluloid maintains its gloss, no cracks or appreciable deformities, with fine signs of use and slight loss of sharpness in the barrel engraving; the gold plating on the clip and rings remains well, with light wear from rubbing; nib intact and well aligned. Operation of the button-filling mechanism has not been verified in the photos
