Parker 51 Aerometric fountain pen with a burgundy resin body and a vertically striped gold-filled cap, hooded gold nib size F, length 13.7 cm, diameter 1.1 cm, made in the United States in the 1950s–1960s, in good used condition and in working order.

Length: 13.7 cm
Diameter: 1.1 cm
Nib: F
Period: 1950s – 1960s (Aerometric version, produced approx. 1948-1969)
Materials: Body and inner cap in burgundy resin/lucite, outer cap in gold-filled metal with vertical stripes and a crown with feather-like ribbing, arrow clip without Blue Diamond and gold reinforcement ring; hooded nib in gold with visible tip; Aerometric filling system (plain barrel without rear blind cap).
State: Good overall condition for its age. The gold plating on the cap remains bright and uniform, with no wear or brass showing; only a few very small dark specks in the clip area and fine handling marks on the edge of the ring are visible. The burgundy body maintains good shine, with superficial micro-scratches visible in backlight and no dents, cracks, or loss of material; rear end intact. Nib tip straight and undamaged. Imprint on the cap partially legible. The filling mechanism function is not observable in the photos.
