Amedeo Modigliani was an Italian-Jewish painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. During his career he created more than seventy drawings of caryatids, sculpted female figures that serve as architectural supports in place of a column or pillar.
Modigliani was also inspired by African art, and this influence is visible in the highly stylized style and the mask-like faces of the caryatids.

Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper.
