LASVEGUIX
French contemporary artist Lasveguix develops a singular universe at the crossroads of street art, collage, and contemporary painting. His work questions the memory of walls, the passage of time, and the poetry of the ephemeral, transforming urban scars into emotionally charged pieces.
Initiated into graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, he shapes his visual language from the contact with the walls of Paris and London. His work is part of an artistic lineage where the great names of urban and contemporary art dialogue. It carries the heritage of Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains in the art of torn posters, the sculptural power of Vhils, the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the silhouettes of Jérôme Mesnager, the poetry of Miss.Tic, the urban memory of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the stencil of Jef Aérosol, the pixelated universe of Invader, and the iconic force of Shepard Fairey. Without ever imitating them, Lasveguix asserts a personal handwriting, immediately recognizable.
Torn posters, spray paint, acrylic, Posca, and reliefs compose true “wall skins,” where tears, superimpositions, and the marks of time become witnesses to a collective memory. Each work reveals a dialogue between material, history, and emotion, inviting the viewer to rediscover the beauty of what the city seemed to have forgotten.
Lasveguix regularly exhibits in France and internationally. His works join private collections in many countries and reflect growing interest from collectors. His career leads him to participate in art fairs, prestigious exhibitions, and charity galas bringing together collectors, patrons, and institutions. His work has notably been shown at events at Roland-Garros, the District 13 Art Fair at the Hôtel Drouot, in Monaco, and in several emblematic venues of the contemporary art scene.
Through each of his creations, Lasveguix gives a second life to the remnants of the city. He does not represent the walls; he reveals their soul, making urban heritage, memory, and creation dialogue in a work that is deeply contemporary and timeless.
