Giuliano Grittini's original mixed‑media portrait Generale e Crocerossina on fine‑grain paper, 35 x 35 cm, hand‑signed, Italy, Pop Art style depicting a double portrait of General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa and a Red Cross nurse, from 2010–2020, weight 1 kg.
Description from the seller
Extraordinary contemporary mixed-media portrait signed by Giuliano Grittini, an original mixed-media piece with strong decorative impact, created on premium fine-grained paper, produced by the contemporary art project "Museum Cracker Art". The work presents itself as a sophisticated reinterpretation in a pop/street-art key of iconic portraits – military and humanitarian in character – realized in the mid-twentieth century by the renowned Italian master Aldo Raimondi (1902–1997).
The composition features a double portrait that stands alongside the General of the Italian Army Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa and his young wife, a volunteer nurse ("Crocerossina") of the Italian Red Cross. The artist, Giuliano Grittini, masterfully blends digital painting, art printing, and hand-applied gold leaf details on the background, creating a glittering, tactile frame that encloses the figures. The dialogue between historic institutional iconography and the textures typical of contemporary street art (visible in the abstract, colorful color splashes beneath the gold leaf) gives the work a strong urban-pop character. Signature: Pencil-marked in the center with the red stamp of the collective.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with contracted couriers. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not carried out.
