Description from the seller
"The Red Coffee Maker" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.
The work transforms an ordinary breakfast into a still life with intense chromatic presence. A red Italian coffee maker dominates the composition, accompanied by a cup, a croissant, a cut orange, a small container, and a delicate flower in a glass vase. The objects are arranged on a table partially covered by a cloth with broad blue and ochre stripes.
The composition centers around the deep red of the coffee maker, which contrasts with a wide turquoise background. Blues, oranges, whites, and toasted tones complete a bright palette based on relationships of complementary colors. Bluish shadows and the diagonals of the background add depth without taking away prominence from the objects.
The brushwork remains visible and direct, simplifying volumes and contours without losing the recognizable character of each element. The free treatment of color and the palette’s intensity show echoes of Fauvism and the modern still life tradition, with chromatic affinities to Henri Matisse.
The croissant, the citrus fruits, the cup, and the coffee maker build an intimate scene associated with the morning ritual, while the small flower introduces a delicate and unexpected note. "The Red Coffee Maker" thus turns a simple domestic moment into a vibrant, warm, and contemporary composition.
