Description from the seller
"Yellow Light" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.
The work depicts a young woman absorbed in reading, seated in a bright interior and surrounded by an intense presence of vegetation. The open book and the lowered gaze center the scene in a moment of calm and intimacy, while the garden visible in the background expands the space toward an exuberant environment.
Yellow dominates the composition and acts as a true protagonist: it appears in the clothing, in the architecture and in the reflections on the figure, creating a warm and enveloping atmosphere. The deep blues of the sofa establish a powerful complementary contrast, while reds, pinks and greens introduce accents that traverse cushions, flowers and vegetation.
The brushwork is energetic and visible, with defined outlines and broad surfaces of color that simplify the forms. The chromatic intensity, the protagonism of the interior and the integration of figure, textiles and nature show clear echoes of Fauvism and Henri Matisse's painting, without losing the work's personal language.
The contrast between the quiet of the reader and the vitality of color transforms an everyday scene into an image of great visual strength. "Yellow Light" conveys contemplation, serenity and the sense of a private moment suspended in the middle of a vibrant and color-filled space.
