CONCEPT OPERA
The Search for Destiny (series booming - no. 5)
Oil on panel, 30x30 cm
In silence it wears thorns and flowers,
seeking in the darkness the voice of hearts.
Golden wings brush past fate,
like an unspoken call.
On its head it bears lost promises,
secret roses, infinite memories.
It walks slowly in the suspended dream,
toward a destiny that has already awaited it

ARTIST NEWS
Laura Muolo, born 1975 in Milan, raised in Rimini. She began exploring art as a self-taught artist in 2013. Her starting medium is graphite, through which she immediately sought the realism of faces, later moving on to other mediums such as pastel and painting.
She participates in many group shows across Italy and internationally, and her works are displayed in important Italian museums. Her works are part of several private collections around the world. Four solo exhibitions to date. She collaborated on creating the cover of a poetry book in 2015 and on the cover of a philosophy book in 2023.
Winner and finalist in several national and international art competitions.
Laura describes her work as follows: “I favor oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image scene by scene, changing, smoothing, perfecting. Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to capture the subject’s essence immediately, in a direct and instinctive way. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions, and stories to decipher.
My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene arises from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects, and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. Painting, for me, is a journey into the dimension of the unspoken.”
Laura collaborates with the Ranarossa Gallery in Modena and the Lojelo Gallery in Volterra
