Title: Synthesis of the Future
Dimensions: 60x60 cm
Year: 2025
Irene Caligo is a contemporary painter who explores the human figure as a space of emotional tension and suspension. Her works unite references to the European figurative tradition with a current color sensibility, through color layering, fragmentation of form, and tactile interventions. Faces and hands become central elements of a research that investigates the boundary between presence and dissolution, creating intimate and silent images, open to the viewers interpretation.

In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors that come to life on the canvas.
