Description of the work:
Magnificent large-format exemplar by the master of Italian 20th century Salvatore Fiume, celebrating one of his most iconic and sought-after themes: the female universe and the exotic allure of odalisques. The composition is characterized by a powerful chromatic arrangement, where the sinuous silhouette of the female figure rises against a bright green background, enveloped by red volutes and arabesque draperies finely decorated in gold and white. The style evokes grand Mediterranean painting and the sensuous juponian (Julia) charm typical of the artist's mature works.
The sheet features the characteristic deckled edges of high-quality handmade paper, left intentionally visible within the frame to emphasize the material quality of the work.
Conditions:
The front shows vivid, fresh colors and is perfectly preserved. The paper has no tears, water stains, or evident foxing. Framed with protective glass. The back (as shown in the attached photos) is clean, free of editorial stamps, sealed within its original mount which has excellently protected the sheet over time.
