The Meisterstück Solitaire Czar Nikolai I – Hommage à Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart fountain pen features a vermeil body and a cap in precious resin, made in Germany in the late 20th century and in working order (serial CP1014573).
Description from the seller
The pen presents itself in generally very good condition, notable for its excellent aesthetic presence and preservation of noble materials.
The vermeil body (solid silver plated in gold) maintains a warm, uniform shine, with slight micro-signs of use typical of the passage of time, barely perceptible and coherent with careful use. The longitudinal grooves retain definition and depth, contributing that characteristic play of light highly valued in this series.
The cap in green malachite-like finish is in very good condition, with an intense and homogeneous color, without relevant material losses or structural damage. Very minor surface marks are observed, which do not affect its overall aesthetics or functionality at all.
The gold elements — clip, rings and finials — retain an excellent tone, with no significant wear. The clip maintains good tension and proper alignment.
The 18-carat solid gold nib is in very good condition, without deformations, with a clean tip and correctly aligned. The feed is appropriate and the pen has been serviced, guaranteeing optimal writing performance.
The filling system functions correctly, ready for immediate use.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve this piece in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, and operate the filling system gently at all times.
Happy bidding!
