Charvel Model 5 - Chitarra di Alberto Radius – Usata in TV e video d’epoca – Provenienza documentata - - Electric guitar - 1986

Chitarra Charvel Model 5
Anno 1986

Not just a great guitar, but also a piece of Italian music history.

Chitarra suonata ed usata molto come mostarno tutti i segni visibili in foto

The guitar belonged to Alberto Radius, guitarist of Lucio Battisti and Formula 3, as well as a producer of numerous Italian artists and a session musician on many albums in the Italian music scene.

I believe it is hardly possible to find another Alberto Radius guitar accompanied by a video in which the artist himself talks about it and describes it in detail. The video will of course be provided together with the guitar to the auction winner of the lot.

The guitar was played extensively between 1986 and 1990.
In the photographs you can still see the glue traces from the “Guitar Club” sticker that was applied to the body.

The instrument is visible in two TV programs hosted by Red Ronnie:

- Una rotonda sul mare
- 20 anni dopo – Il bello del ’68

Below is one of the videos in which the guitar is played by Alberto Radius:

The guitar has lived and been played, but is still perfectly playable: the neck is straight, the frets are in good condition and the action is low. A customized setup according to your needs is still recommended.

Technical features

The Charvel Model 5 is one of the flagship models in the Charvel Model series.
It is equipped with:
- neck-through construction

- active electronics Jackson JE1000 or JE-1200

Unlike the Charvel 1, 2, 3 and 4 models, the Model 5 features neck-through construction.

The 1986 version was equipped with Kahler 2300 Pro Vibrato; from 1987, the Model 5 mounted a Jackson JT6 Floyd Rose tremolo.
