Wahl (Eversharp) - No reserve price - Fountain pen

Magnificent Wahl (Eversharp) fountain pen from the 1920s, made before the Wahl pen company merged with Eversharp (maker of mechanical pencils). Exemplary, in excellent condition and perfectly functional: the ink sac has just been replaced and the pen writes magnificently, never drying out. The nib is extremely flexible, with abundant and fairly wet flow; despite this, the thin lines contrast greatly with the thick strokes, which reach more than 2.5 mm at maximum opening, as shown in the last photo. The nib is very smooth; a distinctive feature of Wahl nibs from the 1920s is that, despite the wide variability of stroke and starting lines that are extremely fine, they maintain great smoothness: to give an example, the tip does not feel as pointed as Waterman nibs from the same period...
