Zippo vintage “Scrimshaw Ship” in brass, made in Bradford, Pennsylvania, United States in 1991.

Original model of the Scrimshaw line offered by Zippo in the early 1990s. The Zippo catalog of 1991 references this brass version under model No. 208 – Scrimshaw, Ship.

The lighter is decorated with ivory-colored panels in the traditional scrimshaw style, depicting a maritime scene with a tall ship, accompanied by marine motifs.

The bottom bears the characteristic marking “1932 ZIPPO 1991 – BRADFORD, PA. – MADE IN U.S.A.,” allowing this specimen to be precisely dated to 1991.

The insert is also an original Zippo mechanism, bearing the inscriptions “ZIPPO MFG. CO. BRADFORD, PA.” and “MADE IN ZIPPO U.S.A.”.

The lighter has been deliberately kept without fuel or flint to preserve its mechanism in good condition and to prevent residue, gumming, and alteration of internal components.
