Description from the seller
This guitar bears the label of Guitarras Artesanas Antonio Fernández (Model C-III). It was manufactured in the early 2000s in Spain in the Levante area (Valencian Community), a region with a long tradition in the making of classical and Spanish guitars.
The Antonio Fernández firm was created to offer study and conservatory guitars within the Spanish guitar-making tradition. Its catalogs were structured in numbered series (such as lines C-I, C-II, or C-III) with the aim of providing students and enthusiasts an instrument with the aesthetics, proportions, and warmth of the traditional Andalusian design.
Woods and Construction
Soundboard: Made from fine-grained, straight spruce pine, accompanied by a decorative artisanal mosaic rosette around the soundhole.
Rims and back: Built from rosewood (dalbergia), which gives it a dark and elegant grain, finished with a central profile on the back.
Finish: Gloss varnish that highlights the natural tones of the wood and protects the body from environmental changes.
Condition Status
Structure: The sound chamber, bridge, and top remain firm, with no cracks or deformations in the wood.
Aesthetic details: Shows small signs of use and light chipping in the varnish at the heel area (base of the neck) along the edges of the rim and the headstock due to time, but does not affect the sound or its structure.
Sound
Its timbre is noted for being very bright, clear, and well defined. The choice of spruce for the soundboard provides a sharp, clean attack with great clarity in the notes, allowing each melody to resonate in a direct and projected way.
Action (String height):
Saddle height: 10 mm
12th fret height: 3.1 mm
Scale length: 650 mm
