Antieke bronzen Victoriaanse brievenclip of papierklem, Frankrijk, 19e eeuw - Desk set - Patinated bronze

Antique bronze Victorian letter clip or clipboard, France, 19th century.

Stunning letter- or paper clip in the form of a refined ladies hand (Hand of Fatima) with detailed cuff and ring. This graceful item was widely used on desks in the 19th century to keep letters, documents or memos together. Thanks to the convenient hanging loop at the top, the clip could also be conveniently mounted on the wall as a decorative and gracefully functional object.

The rare bronze object has lost some resilience but is in excellent antique condition with a beautiful authentic patina.

Indeed a beautiful and collectible decorative "eye-catcher" for the lover of antique office furniture or exceptional fine historical objects.
