Title: Horizons of Sand and Steel
Dimensions: 70x70 cm
Year: 2025
Marco Valli is an Italian artist whose painterly research focuses on the contemporary urban landscape, studied as a space of memory and perception. His works arise from architectural fragments and metropolitan views that are progressively simplified and layered through glazes, erasures, and material overlays.
The city, in his canvases, loses its narrative dimension to become a silent surface, suspended between presence and dissolution. Figures and details emerge as temporary traces, suggesting a slowed time and an introspective view of the urban space.
Note: The artwork will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
