Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi was born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one notes the great fascination that Italian art of the 20th century exerted on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà and de Chirico. In his forty-year artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and innumerable artistic events, among which television programs entirely dedicated to him. The work of Maestro Rolfi has been discussed by the most important journals and by television and radio broadcasters. Among the most notable events is the grand exhibition Centoeventigiorni held at Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Signora Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria and at BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about six years as set designs for the GEO program on Rai 3. His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada and throughout the rest of Europe. Painting in oil and mixed media on a canvased panel. The work is supplied with an Authenticity Certificate signed, stamped and shipped with FedEx.
