- Work of intimate and symbolic character, in which Alberto Gallerati builds a scene suspended between domestic reality and a visionary dimension. A young woman, absorbed and melancholic, lies on a bed while, beside her, a large kitchen with seemingly empty pots introduces a quotidian element that takes on an evident metaphorical value.
The domestic space opens in an almost unreal way toward a wide mountainous landscape crossed by waterways, creating a striking contrast between the narrowness of the interior and the immensity of nature. The deliberately altered perspective, the checkered floor, and the simplification of forms give the composition a dreamlike and metaphysical atmosphere.
