Fortunato is a renowned contemporary artist whose career began early; his first international exhibition was at the age of only 27.
A pivotal turning point in his career occurred in the 1980s. Towards the end of the 1980s, he created the IMAGES movement together with other Abruzzo artists.
In 2013 he founded the Giuseppe Fortunato Foundation, dedicated to the archiving and sharing of his artistic heritage.
The Foundation is also involved in cultural activities, promoting diverse artistic perspectives.
Fortunato's artistic career has been marked by his exploration of deep, profound emotions rather than superficial ones.
He achieved early success in Italy and broadened his reach in the United Kingdom and across Europe and in the USA, as a painter, sculptor, and designer, Fortunato's work has evolved toward a surreal aesthetic.
