Description from the seller

Exceptional and extremely rare collectible lot for fans of comics and Italian pop/satirical art, signed by Franco Bonvicini (Bonvi), the legendary creator of Sturmtruppen and Cattivik. The lot consists of two items of very high collectible value:
Cartella "Fiori d’invenzione" (1973): Complete series of no. 6 etchings on large-format paper (about 50 x 35 cm each). Each individual sheet is pencil-signed by the Author.
Very limited edition of only 50 copies worldwide; this is the copy number 48/50.
Kept in excellent overall condition, complete with all original protective interleaving sheets safeguarding the graphics.
Incisione Extra (1974): Included in the lot is an additional one-off piece outside edition (format 50 x 35 cm), enriched with a pencil autograph dedication signed directly by Bonvi.
A unique piece.
Historical context and trivia:"Fiori d'invenzione" represents one of the peaks of Bonvi's humorous and advertising genius. The work originates from the famous commercial torment of the "flower of pyrethrum" (a chemical substance passed off as a flower in the pop culture of the time). The anecdote, steeped in satire on the power of television, was even celebrated by Umberto Eco in one of his famous "Bustine di Minerva".
Artist: Bonvi / Franco Bonvicini (Modena, 1941 – Bologna, 1995)
Year: 1973 - 1974
Dimensions: about 50 x 35 cm per sheet
Condition: Excellent (In excellent condition with interleaving sheets)
Shipping: Tracked and insured shipping in rigid flat packaging of maximum safety.
