Paul Picot is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1976 in Le Noirmont, in the Jura region of Switzerland. The brand was created during the difficult period of the quartz crisis, when mechanical watchmaking was under enormous pressure. Instead of moving away from traditional mechanics, Paul Picot chose to focus on mechanical Swiss watches and developed a distinctive identity around craftsmanship, technical innovation and bold design.

The C-Type Carrée is one of the most recognizable models in the collection. Its square 42 x 42 mm stainless steel case gives the watch a powerful and modern appearance, while the combination of the black dial and striking yellow rubber strap makes it immediately stand out from conventional chronographs. The design was introduced as a limited edition of 999 pieces, adding an interesting collector element to the model.

The black textured dial features luminous hands and markers together with the characteristic chronograph layout. The automatic Dubois-Depraz DD2021 chronograph movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is fitted with 57 jewels. It provides a 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, small seconds and a date display positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The stainless steel case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces and is protected by curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. The screw-down crown and chronograph pushers reinforce the sporty character of the watch, while the 100 metre water resistance makes it suitable for everyday wear.

One of the defining features of this C-Type Carrée is the yellow rubber strap. Together with the black dial and stainless steel case, it creates a strong contrast and gives the watch a very distinctive presence on the wrist.
