Description from the seller
We present the Marlen Dante Collection: Paradise
Marlen celebrates the seven-hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, with a series of writing instruments dedicated to the great poet, regarded by many as the father of the Italian language. A tribute to his Divine Comedy, the greatest expression of art in the history of Italian literature.
Three limited editions dedicated to the three Dantesque canticles (Paradiso, Purgatorio and Inferno) and a prestigious set (also in limited edition) that gathers the three collections in a single case (Divine Comedy).
A range of writing instruments with a strongly intriguing and surprising character. The prestige of an irreplaceable and unique work of world literature is interpreted and translated by Marlen’s design.
The cap is made (from the top): a wooden ring on which a silver coin is set, depicting Dante’s portrait; a small silver ring; wide ivory-effect mother-of-pearl resin band; empire-engraved silver ring; a second ivory-effect resin ring.
The clip on a silver base depicts Dante's supposed dagger (bronze) kept at the Museo Casa Di Dante.
The body of the pen is made (from the top): ivory-effect mother-of-pearl resin knob; silver ring; wooden band; silver ring; ivory-effect resin ring; large silver band depicting the Heavens where Paradiso is divided; nib tip in ivory-effect resin.
