PAOLO CONTIN has for over twenty-five years pursued a personal, ever-evolving artistic journey. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with shows in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic path is also documented by his presence in the Mondadori Art Catalog with related price quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture.
He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the pandemic period.
An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, blocks, geometric shapes and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works constructed through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the boundaries of painting alone. His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: every work is born from the desire to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
