Description from the seller

An extraordinary vintage Stanwell pipe from the "de Luxe" line—a genuine piece of Danish pipe-making history dating back to the brand's golden age (the 1950s and 60s). The shank bears the clearly stamped, highly rare, and sought-after "REGD. No. 969-48" mark—a crucial detail for serious collectors of vintage Stanwells. The pipe follows Shape No. 11, a magnificent, slender, straight Dublin design featuring clean, extremely elegant lines. The premium-quality briar displays exceptionally tight natural flame grain, enhanced by a smooth amber finish. The original saddle stem bears the vintage stamped "S" with a crown. Pre-owned but maintained in very good to excellent condition from a private collection. The briar is structurally flawless, with no cracks, holes, or repairs. The rim is pristine and clean, showing only minimal signs of lighting. The ebonite stem is solid and clean with virtually no oxidation, retaining the original logo's excellent legibility. A "high-grade" piece for the international collector, ready to be smoked or displayed.

Left side of shank: 'STANWELL' over 'REGD. No 969-48' over 'de Luxe'. Right side of shank: shape number '11'. Stem: Stamped 'S' logo with crown. Smooth, natural matte finish with stunning, tight flame grain.

This item is described in good faith and to the best of my knowledge. However, to avoid disputes, the pipe is sold on an "as-is" basis, in the condition shown in the photos. The buyer acknowledges that the images take precedence over any typos or unintentional omissions in the text description. As this is a private sale (non-VAT registered), no invoice or tax receipt will be issued.
