Content and special features of the portfolio:
• 2 original linocuts: The portfolio contains two expressive late works by Kuhr, hand pulled from the original plates by the printer Hermann Famulla:

• Editors: Hermann Famulla / Alwin Schütze, Berlin.
• Typography & typesetting: Wilfried M. Bonsack / typografica, Berlin. Screen printing by the renowned Pawellek printing house, Berlin.
• Condition: Very good, collectible condition. The paper is clean, the colors are fresh and strong (see photos).
A small tear at the top of one sheet, which does not affect the actual print.
About the artist:
Fritz Kuhr studied at the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau from 1923 under the artistic legends Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, and László Moholy-Nagy. From 1928 he taught there himself and received Bauhaus Diploma No. 13. Under the National Socialists his works were branded as “degenerate art” and confiscated, before he was appointed professor at the Berlin University of the Arts (HdK) in 1948. His works are marked by Klee’s poetry and Kandinsky’s strict color system.
An exquisite collectible for lovers of Bauhaus modernism and rare graphic prints!
Carefully prepared and packaged for shipment.
