AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pigment print on baryta paper. This large-format photograph is printed on baryta paper (size 50 x 70 cm) and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed and numbered (10/25) by Baron Wolman. The photograph bears a relief stamp in the bottom right corner. The photo is in excellent condition.

In 1967, Baron Wolman was the chief photographer and co-founder of a magazine that would report in words and pictures on the times that were full of a-changin’: Rolling Stone. Most of the photographs published in the first three issues of the magazine were his. He photographed Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who — an almost complete list of the usual suspects of the sixties. Wolman’s style set the tone for the approach that Rolling Stone would continue to follow in later years, after Annie Leibovitz succeeded him.
