Stanwell Diamond Shape 227 Pipe (Tom Eltang Design) – Pre-2010 Made in Denmark - Excellent Condition
Stanwell pipe belonging to the sought-after Diamond series, produced at the historic Borup factory in Denmark (estimated period: the 1990s / early 2000s), well before the production transfer to Italy in 2010. A true piece of Danish Design history for collection.
Main Features:
• Brand: Stanwell
• Line: Diamond (Smooth finish, warm reddish color and very dense, regular natural flaming)
• Shape: 227 (Bent Dublin) – Designed by the famous master craftsman Tom Eltang. Slim, perfectly balanced lines.
• Original and Sharp Stampings: On the shank the three levels "STANWELL", "MADE IN DENMARK" and the cursive "Diamond" signature are clearly readable. On the opposite side is the shape number "227".
• Fine Details: Black acrylic mouthpiece with crowned gold logo "S" and double gold on the shank and tenon.
• Included Accessories: Comes complete with its original brown velvet pouch-style case branded Stanwell.
Condition (Estate Pipe):
The pipe presents in excellent cosmetic and structural condition:
• Briar: Bright polish, intact flaming, virtually no visible fill or deep scratches.
• Mouthpiece and Rim: The bite on the mouthpiece shows no deep bite marks but some wear due to time. The bowls rim is intact and free of deep charring.
• The shank and briar maintain a solid, perfect joint.
