SAVINELLI Italy MOUNTBATTEN England - 602 - 276 - Pipe - Wood, Briar - (2)

A pair of pipes: one from Savinelli, a company that has produced and sold pipes worldwide since 1876 and boasts a vast range of shapes and models in its stock, very high quality, including the rarest, most elaborate and refined pipes.

The second is a vintage English Mountbatten pipe, model 276, a brand closely tied to the famous London manufactory Charatan.

Mountbatten pipes were produced within Charatan's production school by the house's apprentices, using Charatan materials, equipment and production techniques. For this reason they are today appreciated by connoisseurs of antique English pipes and are noticeably less common on the market than the standard Charatan productions.
