Zippo BLU gas lighter, Chrome Pathways model, stainless steel satin chrome finish, made in the USA, dating from 2000–2010, in new, unused condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Zippo - BLU Gas Lighter - Model "Chrome Pathways" Design - Dusted/Satin Chrome - Made in USA.
In the auction there is one of the most sought-after variants and geometrically complex of modern Zippo Manufacturing Company production: a butane gas lighter from the Zippo BLU series, specifically the model adorned with the famous "Chrome Pathways" design. Launched in the second half of the 2000s and now out of production, the Zippo BLU line represents a unique chapter for the brand, conceived to offer a powerful blue flame, windproof, clean and completely odorless (greatly appreciated by cigar and pipe enthusiasts). This model combines the reliability of butane gas fuel with the traditional and iconic mechanical strike ignition with a knurled wheel. The solid metal case stands out for its satin chrome finish and for a more bulbous and ergonomic silhouette compared to the classic gasoline models. The front panel is decorated with a spectacular and deep abstract geometric engraving in "Pathways", formed by bands of diagonal parallel lines that intersect, creating a striking visual and tactile contrast with the micro-hatching textures. The lid cut follows the sinuous wave line (S-Curve), an unmistakable aesthetic signature of this range. On the side is the characteristic transparent window for immediate fuel level checking. A vintage-modern and technological collectible piece, essential for those who collect unusual variants in Zippo history.
