Description from the seller
Dalila Crotti, born in Sydney in 1983 to an Italian father. The artist begins her journey in the early 2000s, experimenting with various artistic forms. From 2005 she immerses herself in three-dimensionality, following the boundaries of the historic masters. In particular she contrasts Fontana's icon with the greatest masters of the 20th century. After rejecting proposals from Feldman, Marlow and Sopling, she returns to Italy in 2014. Characterized by a shy and reserved personality, she is not interested in the Jet-set and social scene. Her work has attracted the attention of critics Sewell, Saltz and Kimmelman, who spoke positively about her works. Her works are in the collections of Edelmann, Ovitz, Serota Ecohen. She also has several works in the Sydney museum. This is one of her early works, in fact dated and archived 2005, a year in which spatialist research is at the center of her works. A rare work by this artist that could be of great interest for a future investment.
