Espai Art60 — Contemporary art from the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees In Sant Joan de les Abadesses, a small town in Ripollès surrounded by mountains and centuries of Romanesque history, there is a gallery that for years has been doing something simple and at the same time unusual: bringing contemporary art closer to people, without distances or pretensions. At Espai Art60 we organize exhibitions, accompany artists in their careers and take care of a community of friends and collectors who return again and again. Over time, each exhibition has left works in our collection: pieces we have chosen, hung, explained and defended before the public. Now we want some of them to find a new home through Catawiki. Painting, sculpture, works on paper and graphic works by contemporary artists, many of them with a strong link to Catalonia and the Mediterranean. Works that speak of matter, landscape, time and memory: from sculpture made with aged wood, oxidized iron and stone, to painting that pauses in light and color.
