Montegrappa - Montegrappa fountain pen Limited Edition 'Special Reserve 1996' 406/2388 - Fountain pen

Montegrappa is one of the leading brands (and the oldest in Italy) for luxury writing instruments. This Montegrappa fountain pen is the annual Limited Edition and dates from 1996. It is number 406 of 2388 silver fountain pens that were made. Wine is the theme of this Limited Edition and that is evident in the decoration on the body and cap of the pen, where in the silver exquisite wine vines are crafted. The combination with red resin makes the fountain pen even more attractive. The clip is especially beautifully rendered as a wine vine.

The pen has a characteristic nib, size M, and sits very nicely in the hand due to its generous dimensions (14 cm long) and weight.

The theme is further emphasized by the packaging. Although dating from 1996, this pen has the original cardboard outer box and the wooden inner box including the booklets that come with it. The case is, of course, a wine box and there is also a fake bottle in the box. Very special is that the pen still has the original ink pot. It is, therefore, a complete set!

The pen has been rarely used and is offered in working condition.
