A blue geometric shape emerges in fragments, held back by a red net that passes in front of it. Its presence is suggested through the openings, but it does not reveal itself in full. The eye tries to reconstruct it, tracing its contours where they surface and imagining its continuity where they are hidden.

The overlay creates a sense of three-dimensionality: the red seems to advance toward the viewer, while the blue remains deeper, as if enclosed in a space beyond the net. Although sharing the same surface, the two colors seem to inhabit different planes.

The net traverses the figure, interrupts it and holds it back, without managing to erase it. The blue continues to show through the meshes, maintaining its own presence. It is in this tension between what appears and what contains it that the painting concentrates: something remains trapped, yet continues to occupy its space.

I am Pietro Fight, an Italian visual artist based in Milan. My research revolves around the writing of gesture: an abstract language made of marks, circles, fills and voids that repeat and transform from one work to another. Through my paintings I try to tell my way of seeing life and my artistic path, working on the relationship between density and breath, weight and space. Each work is unique and arises from a manual process made of rhythm, repetition and ever-changing variations.
