Rare lithograph by the Belgian artist Pierre Alechinsky.
Lower right hand-signed in pencil.
Lower left numbered.
About the work:
The motif originally dates from 1950 and thus belongs to Alechinsky's early creative phase. In 1979 the etching was reissued for the exclusive portfolio “Expériences sans l’expérience.” The portfolio comprises ten graphic works that draw on Alechinsky’s early pieces.
Literature: Yves Rivière - Pierre Alechinsky – Les estampes de 1946 à 1972, Paris 1973, catalogue raisonné no. 54.
Framing:
The work was professionally and high-quality framed in a handmade black wooden frame with Plexiglas Optical HC.
Frame size: approx. 45 x 65 cm.

Pierre Alechinsky (born 1927) is a prominent Belgian painter and graphic artist and counts among the leading figures of the CoBrA group. His distinctive visual language combines gestural abstraction with influences from East Asian calligraphy and a spontaneous, free line.
His works are held in major international museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
